Mya McQueen serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Faith Formation and Community Outreach at Selah Seminary, bringing a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to the seminary’s transformative mission. Her extensive background in leadership spans various educational institutions and non-profit organizations, where she has honed her expertise in relationship building, community development, leadership development, and financial management. Mya’s journey in ministry and education uniquely positions her to lead Selah Seminary’s efforts to train and empower ministry leaders within the African Diaspora.

Mya’s career began with program coordination in summer camps and expanded through significant roles at institutions such as Neumann University, Temple University, Rutgers University-New Brunswick, University of Pennsylvania, and Ramapo College of New Jersey. These roles have equipped her with the skills needed to create and manage programs that support students in developing deeper relationships with themselves, God, and their communities.

Her leadership and organizational skills were further demonstrated in her previous positions as Program Coordinator at Table of Hope in Morristown, New Jersey, and SOAR Program Coordinator. Additionally, her time at Bethel Church of Morristown, under the guidance of Rev. Dr. Sidney Williams Jr., refined her abilities in worship leadership, gospel preaching, and prophetic development, laying a strong foundation for her current work.

Mya holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Neumann University, where she focused on low-income populations and youth development. She furthered her education with a Master of Education in College Student Affairs (Higher Education) from Rutgers University-New Brunswick, where she researched first-generation college students and embraced a holistic approach to student services.

In her role at Selah Seminary, Mya is responsible for overseeing the seminary’s daily operations as COO, ensuring that the institution’s programs run smoothly and effectively. As the Director of Faith Formation and Community Outreach, she also creates and facilitates community development opportunities that help students deepen their relationships with themselves, God, and others. Her holistic approach to education and leadership development aligns perfectly with Selah Seminary's mission to equip Black Christians leaders to serve transformationally within their communities and the broader marketplace.

Mya’s dedication to ecumenical work, combined with her extensive experience in program coordination and spiritual leadership, makes her an invaluable leader at Selah Seminary. Her commitment to nurturing the next generation of ministry leaders ensures that every participant at Selah is equipped to lead, innovate, and foster unity across various spheres of society.
